Uber thanks to the incredibly talented Jenny Keller Ford for gracing me with the Liebster Blog award.
She said the nicest thing to me when she awarded this:
In order to thank you for all you do, I’m awarding you the Liebster Blog Award. I couldn’t have come this far without your help. I owe you so much.
This made me feel super special… especially since this is the wonderful lady who convinced me to start a blog in the first place.
Being incredibly anal as I am. I looked up “Liebster” to see if I could find out who this guy was so I could decipher the true meaning of this award. Well… I couldn’t find anything. Not even who the original “Liebster” was. (At least give me an “A” for effort)
What did come up over and over again was a bunch of German words. Hey, you know what? My Dad was German (He was dern proud of that too.) See Dad! I won a German award! I did amount to something!
So, anyway… I did a little more digging and found out that “Liebster” is a word from my Daddy’s fatherland and it translates loosely to “favorite” or something endearing for a loved one, like “dearest”.
Cool, huh? Hugs back, Jenny!
This award is set aside for up-and-coming blogs with less than 200 followers.
(Gack… I just got in under the wire when she awarded this to me, or I would have had to decline. I actually had 199 followers this day… she must have been psychic. I’m happy to say I’m well past being eligible after sitting on this for a week.)
Hello all old followers.
Ummmm… Hello young followers?
.
Awe, heck… why single anyone out…
Hi everybody!
So, back to the award… Here are the rules:
1.Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog. **CHECK**
2.Link back to the blogger who presented the award to you. **CHECK**
3.Copy and paste the blog award on your blog. ***YOU’RE READING IT, AREN’T Cha?***
4.Present the Liebster Blog Award to 5 blogs of 200 followers or less who you feel deserve. **Coming up!**
5.Let them know they have been chosen by leaving a comment at their blog. ***Ummmm…. eventually…. If they don’t find out here, first***
In the tradition Of the lovely Ms. Jenny Keller Ford, I am going to award this to blogs that I learn from. Here are five people with under 200 followers that I think deserve WAY more.
Robin Weeks (She has 204 followers, but I sat on this for a while. Are the Blog police gonna come get me? Oh, well. I’m such a rebel)
Everyone take a hop over to these blogs. They are really great, and definitely worth a “follow”.

WOW! Congrats on being nominated for this award. My blog Marti Ink was just nominated and decided to go online to find out more info about the award. Now I have the same job that you did in finding sites with less than 200 subscribers (YIKES!). Congrats again, and may your subscribers continue to increase.
Wow! Another award. Hope your mantle doesn’t run out of space.:==)
Ha! Like my overflowing email… it is a good problem to have!
Congrats Jennifer – the awesomeness continues. I love it! Your blog rocks and deserves all kinds of fabulousness! 🙂
And thank YOU for showering the love onward to me and those four other very deserving bloggers. I am honored to be held in their ranks!
Woot woot!
ADVICE!! I knew it was ADVICE but I’d already hit “send.”
He’s pretty snarky. He will advise you as well. I took him to a writer’s workshop today, and he had no problem walking up the the MG author and discussing what a good book is. He held the author’s book in his hand and said “I’m gonna review this, you know.”
I think I created a monster.
FOR ERIC: Thanks for the input! “As long as it fits the book, huh?” Very wise advise. He is going to be one tough cookie as a beta reader. PERFECT!
I’ll write the book(s). The series name will surface.
THANKS! *tiny squee…it’s 5:00 am on Sat. on the hubs is still asleep* Congratulations on receiving your award. You have a great blog. 🙂
Aw, Jennifer! I understand why you DESERVED this award. I love your blog.
And, I am honoUred* you recommended mine. *I’m stealing the U’s back from Canada one sneaky letter at a time. Join the campaign!
You have such faithful followers, some already visited my site.
Oh! Must consult with my beta reader about the MG series title. What does he think of WHODATHUNKIT for the series name. It will come with disclaimers for his teacher so he/she doesn’t accuse him of reading “bunk.”
I’m truly grateful today. For the award AND for having my internet back.
I want to bop over to the red-line ms post. No internet for two days except what I can get on the slow, painfully slow, rip-my-hair-out painfully slow desktop.
Yikes! No internet for days? I think I’d go through withdrawal.
I asked Eric about WHODATHUNKIT and he said “What?” I had to explain it to him. That might not be good. But once I explained, he said “as long as it fits the book”. My concern is that he didn’t “get it” without explaination. I’m pass that around another few kids.
Ultimately, though, the publisher would probably have the last call on that one.
Very well deserved!
Great job and much congrats on your award. Keep the love flowing and write on !!
Congrats!
Congratulations on winning this awesome and well-deserved award! And thank you so much for providing us with some new blogs to check out – that’s much appreciated. Have a wonderful weekend! ~ Julie 🙂
