Book Review of “Monkey Island”

The Monomaniacal Middle Grade Reviewer Discusses Monkey Island

Teachers, listen to this, and explain to him why the education system puts kids through stuff like this.

I know when I was young, I didn’t like to read because everything handed to me in school was uninteresting to me. I’m SO GLAD my dad purchased a Fantasy novel for me on a whim one day!

Okay, any teachers out there?

Care to chime in on what he says?

Anyone else have an opinion?

  1. There is nothing like an honest review: not interesting and takes a week to read huh? Pretty bad.

  2. I haven’t read Monkey Island and from what MMGR said, I doubt I ever will! I agree with John the Aussie, though. Hatchet by Gary Paulson is highly recommended, but I really like books where kids have to use survival skills. 🙂

  3. Wait, we aren;t talking Monkey Island by Thom Weekley are we???

  4. Monkey Island by Paula Fox had potential, but just was told wrong I think… A book for young teenagers of the 90’s and early 00’s…

I really recomend Hatchet by Gary Paulsen, for ya Monomaniacal Middle Grade Reviewer…
