I need a little help. In a recent critique session a male critiquer told me something was impossible.
I would really like to get the opinions of a few guys in this age range who are not squeamish and will not have trouble talking about a sensitive subject about sexuality.
I’m not going to ask anyone intimate details about their life… I’m just asking them to read a few pages from a novel and say “Yep, could totally happen” or “No, you are crazy lady… there’s no way.”
So, if you are a teen guy, or remember your teen years very clearly, or you know someone who’d be willing to read and give an opinion, please respond below.
I appreciate the help.

Hmm, I know plenty of boys in that age range, but since I’m one of their youth group leaders, I don’t think this is the subject I want to ask their opinion on, lol 🙂
Yeah…. probably not.
Good plan – don’t know anyone in that range, but in the future you might check with local High School language arts dept/ advanced, AP English teachers for readers – I’ve done that – some schools have writers clubs, and teachers like to have real writers working with kids as role models – trade for a short presentation about “so you want to be a writer” or “how publishing a book works”?
You will have to be careful of content if done inside school
Ha! With this sensitive subject I wouldn’t go near a school. I’d have parents flipping out.
Best to use parents you know – but it’s an idea for other times/drafts
Yes, totally!
Sounds interesting. At first I wondered if boys this age group still read.
I can do it for you.

Send it my way. I have two boys that could give you their unbiased, outspoken, totally honest opinion.
